Boy crit­i­cal af­ter jawan fires bul­let

Cut­tack: A 12- year- old boy was on Satur­day crit­i­cally in­jured af­ter a bul­let was fired ac­ci­den­tally from the ser­vice re­volver of a Bor­der Se­cu­rity Force jawan at High Court colony un­der Badambadi po­lice lim­its here. The in­jured Anub­hav Mo­hanty, son of Pra­bir Mo­hanty of Ka­malpur, has sus­tained bul­let in­jury on the head. He was ad­mit­ted to a pri­vate hos­pi­tal in the city, po­lice said. Se­nior of­fi­cials in­formed that the in­ci­dent oc­curred at around 12 noon when Anub­hav was play­ing with the weapon of his friend Piyush Pa­tra’s fa­ther Su­sant Pa­tra. The ex­act rea­son be­hind how the mi­nor boys got the re­volver without any­body notic­ing them was un­clear till the last re­port came in. The po­lice has started a probe in con­nec­tion with the in­ci­dent.
