PAD MAN’S OPENING WEEKEND MINTS 40- CR AT BOX OFFICE

Akshay Kumar’s latest film Pad Man finished its first weekend by collecting ` 40 crore across India. The film managed to earn ` 10.26 crore on Friday with the total number amounting to ` 23.94 crore in two days. The film minted another ` 16.06 crore on Sunday.

Noted film trade analyst Ramesh Bala took to Twitter to share Pad Man’s latest collection, “By early estimates, # Padman does ` 16 crore Nett on Sunday — Feb 11th, taking the opening weekend AllIndia Nett to ` 40 crore ..( sic)” Directed by R. Balki, Pad Man is based on the story of Arunachala­m Muruganant­ham, inventor of lowcost sanitary napkins for women in rural areas. Next week, Pad Man will face competitio­n from Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee’s espionage drama Aiyaary.
