100 mon­keys poi­soned in U. P.

Luc­know, March 30: Over 100 mon­keys have died in Am­roha dis­trict in Ut­tar Pradesh at Dabarsi vil­lage, al­legedly due to poi­son­ing. Ini­tial re­ports sug­gest that the mon­keys had been poi­soned. The vil­lagers claim that the simi­ans had con­sumed ‘ chut­ney’ that had turned poi­sonous. The car­cass has been sent for post mortem and the for­est depart­ment is con­duct­ing an in­ves­ti­ga­tion into the mat­ter.
