Mendy’s prank irks Guardiola

Benjamin Mendy has been pictured in the Manchester City dressing room just 24 hours after claiming he was at Hong Kong International Airport reported the Daily Mail.

The Frenchman had been in Barcelona recuperating from a knee cartilage injury but posted a video on social media claiming to be in the far east.

Pep Guardiola was at a loss for words when he was informed in his press conference on Friday, exclaiming, “In Hong Kong? F***, is he?”

Mendy later tweeted to confirm he was only joking, and is indeed back with his City team- mates but will miss the clash with Chelsea on Sunday.

He was snapped by Kyle Walker after the duo had joked about the French defender’s prank on social media.

Walker shared a picture of him training on his own with the caption, “Love training with all the lads! # WhereIsMendy.”
