Dentsu India, the creative agency from the stable of Dentsu Aegis Network has appointed Rahul Sengupta as chief creative officer. Armed with more than 23 years on experience in advertising, direction and production, Sengupta has worked on brands such as Bajaj two wheelers, ICICI Prudential, Titan, Tanishq, Britannia, Kwality Walls, Kissan, Nissan, Sony Max, Standard Chartered Bank and Adidas. Sengupta began his career at Mudra in 1993 (first in Bengaluru and then in Mumbai) and then moved on to Lowe Worldwide where he was executive creative director. He joined TBWA India in 2008 as national creative director, following which, he set up Nineteen Films in 2013.
Dentsu Impact the creative agency from the stable of Dentsu Aegis Network, has elevated Anupama Ramaswamy as national creative director. She had joined the agency as executive creative director in the year 2016. The recent re-structuring happened owing to the consolidation of creative, digital and media duties for all Maruti Suzuki brands (except Nexa brands) with Dentsu Aegis Network. Post this development, the network created an integrated creative team which will deliver solutions for the brand. Ramaswamy would be leading this team both on offline as well as digital creative front.
Baaash Digital, from the stable of Creativeland Asia Group, has appointed Ankush Sohoni as chief operating officer. Sohoni will lead business development and brand strategy at the agency. He has extensive experience across digital communication, brand strategy and editorial. His experience spans verticals ranging from FMCG, Media & Entertainment, Technology and Financial Services. Most recently, he was handling NBA India’s digital ecosystem at the 120 Media Collective in the capacity of business director.
At the Board Meeting of The Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) held immediately after the AGM recently, Abanti Sankaranarayanan, former vice chairman, Confederation of Indian Alcoholic Beverage Companies (CIABC) was unanimously elected as the chairman of the Board of ASCI. As the member of the Board of
Governors for four years, Sankaranarayanan, also the chief strategy and corporate affairs officer at Diageo India, and member of its executive committee, is an accomplished business leader, having steered pivotal roles across functions in the consumer products and luxury industry for over two decades now.
The Advertising Club has unanimously elected Vikram Sakhuja, group chief executive officer, Media and OOH, Madison Communications as president. Previously, Raj Nayak, chief operating officer, Viacom18 held the position as president for two years.
