CON­FED ITA ex­changes busi­ness ideas with Tai­wanese Del­e­ga­tion

As part of its ‘Mis­sion to In­dia’, a del­e­ga­tion led by the New Taipei City Com­puter As­so­ci­a­tion (NTCA) re­cently vis­ited Chen­nai to ex­plore busi­ness prospects in South In­dia.

A del­e­ga­tion led by YEH, Huey-Ching, Com­mis­sioner of Eco­nomic De­vel­op­ment Depart­ment, met rep­re­sen­ta­tives of CON­FED ITA to fa­cil­i­tate busi­ness ties. The 15 mem­ber del­e­ga­tion show­cased their in­no­va­tive prod­ucts to the CON­FED mem­bers.

How­ever, Pratheesh Mathew, Joint Sec­re­tary of CON­FED ITA said that the mem­bers got the op­por­tu­nity to ex­pe­ri­ence the tech­nol­ogy in­no­va­tions brought in by the Tai­wan in the field of IT. How­ever, he said that NTCA needed to clar­ify their trade pol­icy in South In­dia and en­cour­age man­u­fac­tur­ing in the re­gion.

“NTCA needs to clar­ify their trade strat­egy in In­dia. Also they should fo­cus on lo­cal man­u­fac­tur­ing”, he said.

It is to be noted that the Fed­er­a­tion of All In­dia IT As­so­ci­a­tions (FAIITA) and the New Taipei City Com­puter As­so­ci­a­tion (NTCA) have signed a MoU to strengthen the busi­ness ties be­tween In­dia and Tai­wan.

Ac­cord­ing to the MoU, FAIITA and NTCA have agreed to ex­change in­for­ma­tion on the mar­ket and in­dus­try trends. The agree­ment aims to pro­mote con­fer­ences of the as­so­ci­a­tions in both the re­gions for the tech­no­log­i­cal co­op­er­a­tion and trade part­ner­ship be­tween mem­bers.
