This is a fact now that there is a slowdown in business after last year’s demonetization and the recently held GST implementation. The situation is getting worst for the IT trade bodies in Kolkata. Distributors are facing the financial crisis continuously. To overcome these loss channel partners in Kolkata are doing cost cutting. They are reducing the no. of employees so that they can balance the ratio of their budget.

Talking to The D Q Week Rajendra Seksaria of Balaji Solutions says, ‘as we are running behind in business due to these new rules like demonetization and GST by the government, we have to do cost cutting to survive in the market. We are suffering from last 2 years and now we have no option left apart from reduction of our man power. ‘

Commenting on the same situation R.K Bachana of Arihant Mercanties says, ‘Now after GST implementation the same situation in business has arrived again like earlier when it was demonetization. The slowdown is again bothering the dealers.’

‘We don’t want to reduce the no. of employees but we are in a bad situation now so we are doing it to manage our business in the market’ Bachana adds.

Sanjay Chajjer of Advance Management System shares, ‘slowdown in cash flow has become the routine of our business and the situation is not letting us to come out of this crucial scenario. And yes to overcome from this situation we are firing our employees, so that we can save some of our money which we can invest in businesses.’
