ERO-Net services launched to help poll efficiency
The Election Commission (EC)’s newest electoral registration officers (ERO)-Net service was launched in Jharkhand promising time bound enrolment, rectification and replacement of voter cards.
L Khyangte, chief electoral officer ( CEO) of Jharkhand, launched the service at the state elec- tion commission’s office in Dhurwa in HEC area.
While addressing the media, Khyangte said, “Under this service, voters can apply for new voter cards. They can transfer and rectify (or update) their voter cards through this portal. This portal will ensure time bound delivery of services.”
As per ECI officials, voters can now apply for new cards, their transfer or amendment in the national voter’s service portal (NVSP) which will then be passed on to ERONet. The portal will also enable applicants to upload their personal documents in a PDF format for the verification process.
