ERO-Net ser­vices launched to help poll ef­fi­ciency

The Elec­tion Com­mis­sion (EC)’s new­est elec­toral reg­is­tra­tion of­fi­cers (ERO)-Net ser­vice was launched in Jhark­hand promis­ing time bound en­rol­ment, rec­ti­fi­ca­tion and re­place­ment of voter cards.

L Khyangte, chief elec­toral of­fi­cer ( CEO) of Jhark­hand, launched the ser­vice at the state elec- tion com­mis­sion’s of­fice in Dhurwa in HEC area.

While ad­dress­ing the me­dia, Khyangte said, “Un­der this ser­vice, vot­ers can ap­ply for new voter cards. They can trans­fer and rec­tify (or up­date) their voter cards through this por­tal. This por­tal will en­sure time bound de­liv­ery of ser­vices.”

As per ECI of­fi­cials, vot­ers can now ap­ply for new cards, their trans­fer or amend­ment in the na­tional voter’s ser­vice por­tal (NVSP) which will then be passed on to ERONet. The por­tal will also en­able ap­pli­cants to up­load their per­sonal doc­u­ments in a PDF for­mat for the ver­i­fi­ca­tion process.
