Su­pertron cel­e­brates In­de­pen­dence Day with CSR ac­tiv­i­ties

Ex­tend­ing help to the needy is the ba­sic na­ture of V .K. Bhan­dari, Chair­man of Su­pertron Elec­tron­ics (SEPL) and hence it is not a sur­prise, he made a point to set to im­prove the lives of un­der­priv­i­leged , much be­fore CSR has be­come buzz word in cor­po­rate world.

What started as an am­a­teur ini­tia­tive spear­headed by V. K. Bhan­dari has to­day, taken a pro­fes­sional shape un­der the Su­pertron Foun­da­tion and aims to leave a larger pos­i­tive im­pact on the so­ci­ety and en­vi­ron­ment we live and op­er­ate in.

With the in­tro­duc­tion of the new CSR ac­tiv­i­ties, Bhan­dari has re­al­ized that to­day Com­puter lit­er­acy is must and im­por­tant for all.”Com­puter em­pow­er­ment cen­tre” is the new ini­tia­tive and open­ing chain of sim­i­lar cen­tre for un­der­priv­i­leged chil­dren. The cen­tre has the fa­cil­ity of teach­ing com­puter for class room stud­ies with au­dio vi­su­als for knowl­edge cen­tric coach­ing through LCD pro­jec­tor screen.

Su­pertron Foun­da­tion has opened another “Com­puter em­pow­er­ment cen­tre” for un­der­priv­i­leged and slums chil­dren on 15th Au­gust, In­dia’s 70th In­de­pen­dence day in PARIVARIKEE. Parivarikee, Lake Gar­den­sKolkata is a so­cial wel­fare or­ga­ni­za­tion for women and chil­dren es­tab­lished in 1967. Parivarikee runs a pre-pri­mary sec­tion and a pri­mary school from Nurs­ery to Class IV, which pre­pares the stu­dents to join main­stream schools for mid­dle and sec­ondary ed­u­ca­tion boards. VK Bhan­dari hoisted the In­dian flag with the chil­dren fol­lowed by Yoga per­for­mance and some cul­tural pro­gram done by the Parivarikee chil­dren. Su­pertron Foun­da­tion opened be­low can­ters al­ready run­ning and few hun­dreds of slums chil­dren are get­ting ben­e­fit­ted.
