A Quick Exit for Poll Pastime

The Economic Times - - The Edit Page - A PRASAD

This refers to ‘Why Exit Polls Often get it Wrong’. For whose benefit are the bizarre exit polls conducted? Having waited for so long, can we not wait another 72 hours? Why this impatience to fly kites? As the edit points out, such polls have failed miserably in 2004 and 2009. Of course the party wishing to claim the hot seat must have spent millions on this pantomime. Many voters told me they had lied in such polls. It’s time the EC or the Supreme Court banished this affliction.
