Learn & Refine Exit Polls

The Economic Times - - The Edit Page -

Apropos ‘Why Exit Polls Often get it Wrong’ (ET, May 13), despite exit polls giving wrong predictions, people look forward to them for good reasons. The long election schedule, ban on such polls during this period and the highest percentage and number of voters casting their votes this time increased their impatience for quick, general trends. This scenario should inspire the pollsters to refine their sampling procedure and reach, and use tact to elicit reliable information so as to close the gap between disclosed and actual voting pattern.
