Suitors for a Stable Govt

The Economic Times - - The Edit Page - ARUN MALANKAR

With the exit polls showing a saffron sweep towards the Delhi throne, various suitors, especially those from among the friends as well as foes of the UPA, have started sending feelers to the BJP brass. The ostensible reason for this newly-found love for the “communal” NDA is their heartfelt desire to provide a stable government. Else, the state exchequer would have to bear another dent to the tune of, say, .` 5,000 crore to manage a midterm poll. With this lofty purpose in mind, these do-gooders are ready to assist the Hindutva brigade to have a smooth run in South Block for the next quinquennial.
