Deutsche Bank Memo: Staff, Behave Better
Memo to bankers: Behave. A senior executive at Deutsche Bank has warned the staff that “being boastful, indiscreet and vulgar is not OK.” Colin Fan, head of markets division, has reportedly made a video message to staff. He says that because of the regulatory scrutiny banks are under, “all your communications may be reviewed. This includes your emails, your conversations and your conduct.” He warns that boastful, indiscreet or vulgar behaviour “will have serious consequences for your career.” The bank said it was part of a programme to forge “a new culture” at the bank.
