Tata Bev­er­ages Ac­quires Aus­tralian Cof­fee Com­pany Bron­ski Eleven

Tata Global Bev­er­ages, Tata Group’s multi­na­tional bev­er­ages arm, on Mon­day said it has ac­quired Aus­tralian cof­fee com­pany Bron­ski Eleven for an undis­closed amount. Bron­ski Eleven has a pres­ence in roasted and ground cof­fee and cof­fee pods — or, sin­gle-ser­vice por­tions like teabags — in Aus­tralia un­der its brand MAP. “The ac­qui­si­tion in Aus­tralia will help Tata Global Bev­er­ages fur­ther ex­pand its of­fer­ing in Aus­tralia to in­clude cof­fee,” Ajoy Misra, MD and CEO at Tata Global Bev­er­ages, said. “It also helps us strengthen our port­fo­lio in the high-growth con­tem­po­rary ‘sin­gle-serve busi­ness’,” Misra added. The maker of Tet­ley tea and Eight O’ Clock cof­fee is al­ready present in the cof­fee pod seg­ment in the USA through an agree­ment with Green Moun­tain Cof­fee Roast­ers’ Keurig sin­gle serve ma­chines for Eight O Clock Cof­fee. It is also present in the sin­gle serve seg­ment in Canada with Tas­simo, for Tet­ley tea. Shares of Tata Global Bev­er­ages rose 4.08% to .` 150.55 on the Bom­bay Stock Ex­change on Mon­day while the bench­mark in­dex Sen­sex rose 1% to 24,363.05 points.
