CAD Plunges to 0.2% for March Quar­ter

In­dia’s cur­rent ac­count deficit plunged to 0.2% of GDP in the March quar­ter, from 3.6% a year ago as im­ports crashed due to curbs on gold im­ports. For the fis­cal year, CAD fell to 1.7% of GDP, or $32.4 b, from 4.7%, or $87.8 b a year ago.
