The Economic Times - - Money & Banking -

Madan Menon, head of international banking, Asia Pacific, at Royal Bank of Scotland, is speculated to be quitting his job to start a fund on his own. Menon’s claim to fame in the Indian banking industry was when Barclays Capital led the convertible bonds boom in India before the credit crisis. In fact, India had the distinction of being the biggest issuer of the instrument during the period even though other economies had more sophisticated financial markets. The banker known for a strict fitness regime, had handled various portfolios including investment banking, structuring, equity capital markets, M&As, debt capital market, foreign exchange and fixed income.
