In Assam, the polling percentage in 65 assembly constituencies in the first phase was closer to the 2014 LS figure of 80.16%. In 2011 assembly polls, the percentage was 76.03. TitaborassemblyseatwhereCMTarun Gogoi is a contestant, 78% voters turnedup,whileinMajuli,whereBJP’s CM candidate Sarbananda Sonowal is contesting, it was 80%.
