Go Air CEO Prock-Schauer Be­comes MD

Wolf­gang Prock-Schauer, the CEO of Go Air has been promoted as its MD, two se­nior ex­ec­u­tives said, re­ports Anir­ban Chowd­hury. “The de­ci­sion was taken by the board on Satur­day. It is sub­ject to statu­tory ap­provals,” said one of the ex­ec­u­tives. Prock-Schauer will now be­come a mem­ber of the com­pany’s board. He will re­tain his post of CEO in Go Air and share that of MD with Jeh Wa­dia who is cur­rently in that po­si­tion. Prock-Schauer, for­mer CEO of Jet Air­ways and Air­ber­lin, is lead­ing Go Air’s move of an IPO later this year. He is also steer­ing its first ma­jor round of growth with an or­der of 72 Air­bus A320 Neo planes, the up­graded ver­sion of the most pop­u­lar air­liner in the world.
