Huawei, LeEco Want to Make Smart­phones in In­dia

Huawei is in talks with Fox­conn to make mo­bile phones in In­dia, while new en­trant LeEco in­tends to start lo­cal pro­duc­tion as both Chi­nese com­pa­nies look to make a mark in the world’s fastest-grow­ing smart­phone mar­ket, re­ports Our Bu­reau. Top ex­ec­u­tives from both the com­pa­nies, ZTE and US com­mu­ni­ca­tions tech­nol­ogy provider Avaya met with telecom and IT min­is­ter Ravi Shankar Prasad on Fri­day and said they were keen to ex­pand oper­a­tions in In­dia. “All of them are very bullish on In­dia,” the min­is­ter said.
