There are many reasons for corporate engagements to break. But the one between a top bank and a mobile phone company which got a payments bank license is pretty strange. It appears that the bank found itself in an uncomfortable position when it had to deal with one of its former staffers who left the bank on a bitter note. Apparently the bank found that it may not be worth its while to engage with a person on whom it did not have such a great faith. And both the bank and the telecom firm seem to have started partnership search all over again.
