Crises Only at Eleventh Hour

The Economic Times - - The Edit Page -

Recall the hoo-haa on Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s Yamuna festival. Now take the latest brouhaha on the IPL and water shortage. Is waking up at the eleventh hour a deliberate ploy for maximum TRPs, effect and damage? The Yamuna festival was known for months. Why was the issue not settled right at the beginning? Did the water shortage in Maharashtra come just before the IPL? The logical stand would have been to cancel the IPL or shift it elsewhere. Maybe the courts must throw out petitions brought at the last minute with a fine levied on such parties.
