Apropos the report ‘110 Killed, 280 Injured in Kerala Temple Fireworks Tragedy’ (Apr 11), Sri Narayana Guru, Kerala’s greatest social reformer, spoke against crackers and explosives at festivals, but the people don’t listen. Unregulated firework displays we set off in the cramped precincts of our places of worship is an open door to disaster.
