Hal­dia Plant to be Closed for 5 Weeks: Tata Chem

Tata Chem­i­cals has in­formed BSE that their plant in Hal­dia which, is a fertliser fac­tory will be closed for 5 weeks in Septem­berOc­to­ber ac­cord­ing to the fil­ing on the BSE. This will be be­cause of ‘in­ter­rup­tion’ in sup­ply of am­mo­nia that is used for man­u­fac­tur­ing cer­tain prod­ucts and fer­til­iz­ers. The Hal­dia plant has a ca­pac­ity of 1.2 mil­lion tonne per an­num (MTPA) and is pro­duces Sul­phuric acid, phos­phoric acid, sodium tripolyphos­phate (STPP). It also in­cludes Di-am­mo­nium phos­phate (DAP), NPK com­plexes, sin­gle su­per phos­phate (SSP) which are used for crop nutrition.
