China Cop­per Im­ports Jump 36% to Record

China’s im­ports of cop­per climbed to a record in March af­ter do­mes­tic buy­ing by the state re­serve helped sup­port prices and en­cour­aged for­eign pur­chases. In­bound ship­ments of un­wrought cop­per and prod­ucts rose for the first time this year, in­creas­ing 36% on month to 5,70,000 met­ric tonnes.
