Such Cynicism Is Rather Odd

In ‘Driving Delhi Around in Circles’ (April 15), Rakesh Mohan Chaturvedi believes that the Delhi government is being naive to expect citizens to embrace the 'odd-even' scheme. He also thinks that the government is “keen on grabbing eyeballs... rather than make any concrete, long-term contribution to reduce pollution”. It seems naive of the writer to believe that ‘grabbing eyeballs’ by itself is a bad thing, and that a short-term plan disallows a long-term one. As for whether Delhiites embrace the scheme or not, that they are being nudged is something citizens of other cities can emulate.
