Latur had drought con­di­tions since last year. By shift­ing the IPL in May, con­di­tions are not go­ing to be dif­fer­ent. When there was no IPL, no wa­ter was re-routed to Latur from Mum­bai. This is not likely even af­ter the IPL has been shifted out of Ma­ha­rash­tra.
