Petrol Price Cut by 74 p, Diesel by 1.30 a Litre
New Delhi: Petrol will be cheaper by 74 paise per litre, while diesel rates will fall by .₹ 1.30 from Saturday as state oil firms have decided to cut prices in line with global trends.
Petrol in Delhi will now cost .₹ 61.13/litre, while diesel will be sold at .₹ 48.01per litre, IOC said . “The current level of international prices of petrol & diesel and rupee-dollar exchange rate warrant decrease in price of petrol and diesel, the impact of which is being passed on to the consumers with this price revision,” it said.
The hike comes on the back of a steep hike of .₹ 2.19 a litre on petrol and 98 paise on diesel on April 4. After increasing the prices of the fuel twice in a row, this will bring some relief to consumers.
