Petrol Price Cut by 74 p, Diesel by 1.30 a Litre

New Delhi: Petrol will be cheaper by 74 paise per litre, while diesel rates will fall by .₹ 1.30 from Satur­day as state oil firms have de­cided to cut prices in line with global trends.

Petrol in Delhi will now cost .₹ 61.13/litre, while diesel will be sold at .₹ 48.01per litre, IOC said . “The cur­rent level of in­ter­na­tional prices of petrol & diesel and ru­pee-dol­lar ex­change rate war­rant de­crease in price of petrol and diesel, the im­pact of which is be­ing passed on to the con­sumers with this price re­vi­sion,” it said.

The hike comes on the back of a steep hike of .₹ 2.19 a litre on petrol and 98 paise on diesel on April 4. Af­ter in­creas­ing the prices of the fuel twice in a row, this will bring some re­lief to con­sumers.
