Co has raised an undi­closed sum from Google’s VP for South­east Asia & In­dia

Ben­galuru: Pre­mium prod­ucts and ser­vices dis­cov­ery and pur­chase plat­form Smyt­ten has raised an undis­closed amount in an an­gel round from Ra­jan Anan­dan, vice-pres­i­dent of Google for South­east Asia and In­dia. The lifestyle­fo­cused mo­bile ap­pli­ca­tion ties up with brands to work on their mar­ket­ing cam­paigns and cus­tomer an­a­lyt­ics, apart from work­ing as an af­fil­i­ate.

“We will be launch­ing a new ver­ti­cal for cu­rated pre­mium ex­pe­ri­ences for fine din­ing, events around wine tast­ing and oth­ers for Delhi and Mum­bai soon,” said Swa­gat Sarangi, co­founder of Smyt­ten. “Apart from this, ma­jor­ity of our sales are gen­er­ated through well­ness and beauty ser­vices and we will ex­pand those to Ben­galuru and Hy­der­abad.”

The plat­form has tied up with over 80 brands so far with the ex­cep­tion of ap­parel and fash­ion cat­e­gories. With mar­gins rang­ing from 25% to 40%, the plat­form also works with brands for an­a­lyt­ics on new prod­uct launches, consumer sur­vey and feed­back.

Smyt­ten had pre­vi­ously raised .₹ 1.2 crore in seed funds from Rim­pal Chawla, for­mer MD of Credit Suisse; and Anuj Sri­vas­tava, founder of Livs­pace.
