HC Stays Trial Court Or­der De­freez­ing Ac­counts of Firm In Case In­volv­ing Ke­jri­wal’s PA

LON­DON: The Delhi high court has granted stay on the trial court or­der on de­freez­ing two bank ac­counts of a firm be­ing probed by it in a graft case al­legedly in­volv­ing Chief Min­is­ter Arvind Ke­jri­wal’s prin­ci­pal sec­re­tary Ra­jen­dra Kumar. The high court stayed the ex­e­cu­tion of the or­der till May 10 on the pe­ti­tion filed by the CBI fol­low­ing the trial court judge­ment. The agency has rushed to the high court for ur­gent list­ing of the ap­peal for re­lief on April 8. CBI sub­mit­ted that the in­ves­ti­ga­tion is at cru­cial stage and the trial court’s or­der at this stage is bad in law.—
