The Economic Times - - Pure Politics -

While there is very little at stake for the BJP in five poll-bound states except Assam, Amit Shah’s zeal to put his best foot forward in every election seems to have run into a tight spot. Shah is learnt to have hit a physiological wall after polling ended in Assam, where BJP is eyeing to oust the Congress regime. Shah, of late, is learnt to have met with spondylitis troubles that has restricted his activities. After Maharana Pratap, the Ministry of Culture has now turned its attention towards Tatya Tope and how his contribution to 1857 was systematically ignored by the UPA. Governments of Maharashtra and MP have been asked to launch events in this regard. A ‘Shaurya Mahotsav’ was held and the Centre is constructing a memorial at Nasik and a War Museum at Bhopal in memory of Tope.
