DLF Moves Apex Court Against Com­pat Or­der

In­dia’s largest real es­tate firm DLF has moved the Supreme Court against an or­der of the Com­pe­ti­tion Ap­pel­late Tri­bunal (COM­PAT) that held the com­pany guilty of abuse of its dom­i­nant po­si­tion in New Gu­ru­gram with re­gards to its project New Town Heights, re­ports Home buy­ers in the project had filed a com­plaint with the Com­pe­ti­tion Com­mis­sion of In­dia, say­ing the com­pany had lured them into buy­ing homes un­der a pre-launch scheme when the lay­out plan was not ap­proved. CCI had, in its or­der in May last year, asked DLF to cease and de­sist from such un­fair trade prac­tices though it did not im­pose any penalty as it had fined the com­pany .₹ 630 crore in a sim­i­lar case. DLF had moved COM­PAT which up­held the CCI or­der in Novem­ber 2015.
