MPs Speak With One Voice Against Odd-Even, Pappu Calls Ke­jri Psy­co­path

New Delhi: Par­lia­men­tar­i­ans of both the houses are at odds with the odd-even scheme, with one call­ing Delhi CM Arvind Ke­jri­wal a “psy­chopath” and an­other say­ing it’s an ef­fort to in­sult MPs. MostMP­sonMon­day­madeito­b­vi­ous that they are un­happy with the scheme and al­leged that Ke­jri­wal has launched it for “cheap pub­lic­ity”.Many­complainedthatthey­were get­ting late for meet­ings be­cause they have only one ve­hi­cle with a valid pass to en­ter the com­plex even as­thes­pe­cialACbus­es­forMPshardly found any tak­ers.

Rais­ing the is­sue in the LS dur­ing Zero Hour, Rajesh Ran­jan alias Pap­puYa­daval­legedthatKe­jri­walis a “psy­chopath CM” while ar­gu­ing that the scheme will not help re­duce pol­lu­tion. He cited an IIT study that states cars are re­spon­si­ble for only 5% of air pol­lu­tion. AAP mem­ber Bhag­want Mann, who­car­pooled­with­someotherMPs to come to Par­lia­ment, coun­tered Ran­jan’s charges but many oth­ers sup­ported the lat­ter. In the Up­per House, SP leader Naresh Agar­wal said the scheme is an at­tempt to in­sult MPs.
