IIMC Wins EQUIS Ac­cred­i­ta­tion; First B-school in In­dia to Bag ‘Triple Crown’

New Delhi: IIM-Cal­cutta has won the Euro­pean Foun­da­tion for Man­age­ment De­vel­op­ment Qual­ity Im­prove­ment Sys­tem or EQUIS ac­cred­i­ta­tion. It is the first b-school in In­dia to be ac­cred­ited by all 3 ma­jor ac­cred­i­ta­tion agen­cies in the world.

EQUIS board voted to con­fer ac­cred­i­ta­tion on IIM Cal­cutta on April12. IIMC al­ready had ac­cred­i­ta­tion from The Ad­vance Col­le­giate Schools of Busi­ness (AACSB), Florida and the Lon­don-based As­so­ci­a­tion of MBAs or AMBA. “Triple crown ac­cred­i­ta­tion has put us on a dif­fer­ent level in­ter­na­tion­ally. We ex­pect to fare bet­ter in not only global rank­ings but also as a strong con­tender for at­tract­ing global ta­lent,” IIMC di­rec­tor Saibal Chat­topad­hyay told ET.
