Reliance Games to Focus on India
Pune: Reliance Games is sharpening its focus on the Indian market, after having concentrated primarily on the US and UK over the past few years, and is set to launch an IPL-based game on the Gujarat Lions soon as part of a series of products aimed at the domestic market.
The company, part of Reliance Entertainment, has invested significantly in strengthening its Indian operations over the past six months and now has a dedicated 20-member team in place, Reliance Entertainment CEO Amit Khanduja told ET
“We have identified casual games, cricket and racing based games as the key segments and will be releasing ten games in this space over the next six months,” Khanduja said. “We will work with brands and IPs and the focus will be on quality over quantity of games released,” he said. The company recently hosted the second edition of Pocket Gamer Connects in Bengaluru. Khanduja said that the company will explore strategic partnerships with some of the smaller independent developers showcasing their games at the event where Reliance Games could leverage their skills.
