FDI Rises 37% Since Oct ’14

New Delhi: For­eign di­rect in­vest­ment increased 37% be­tween Oc­to­ber 2014 and Fe­bru­ary 2016, since launch of ‘Make in In­dia’, com­merce and in­dus­try min­is­ter Nir­mala Sithara­man told Ra­jya Sabha on Wed­nes­day.

‘Make in In­dia’ was launched in Septem­ber 2014. FDI in­flows in the Modi govern­ment’s ten­ure from June 2014 to Fe­bru­ary 2016 climbed 44% to $63.16 bil­lion from $43.87 bil­lion in the pre­ced­ing 21 months from Septem­ber 2012 to May 2014.
