In es­sen­tially an agrar­ian econ­omy like In­dia, suc­ces­sive gov­ern­ments failed to find long-term so­lu­tions to farm­ing needs. Prob­lems like farmer suicides, drought and floods con­tinue to dom­i­nate ru­ral lives. Gov­ern­ment must un­der­stand that it needs to cre­ate jobs by mak­ing agri­cul­ture as the epi­cen­tre of busi­ness ac­tiv­ity in ev­ery vil­lage, taluka and district for a long-term so­lu­tion.
