Kolkata: The recent arrests of Trinamool MPs which Mamata Banerjee alleged was pure political vendetta by BJP have now taken a reverse turn. Challenging the integrity of the central agencies’ officers investigating into the chit fund scam, the Kolkata Police, in a reverse investigation, has found incriminating evidence against Enforcement Directorate's assistant director, who featured in the much talked about footage doing the rounds.

Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress now plans to raise the issue of ‘political vendetta’ in Parliament and discuss the party’s concerns at large.

According to sources close to Banerjee, if her party men have been corrupt, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s jing bang cannot be given a clean chit either. Significantly, the issue will be raised in the Parliament at a time when the Modi government is taking efforts to curb ambiguity in political funding.
