Docs Clear Air on Jaya’s Death
The cost of Jayalalithaa’s treatment was 5.5 cr
Chennai: A panel of doctors provided a detailed timeline on the treatment given to the late J Jayalalithaa—the former Tamil Nadu CM—and also answered questionsondoubtsthatprevailed over the issue, at a press conference in Chennai on Monday.

London-based specialist Richard Beale clarified that he has “always been willing to come and participate in a discussion such as this withinthelimitsofconfidentiality.”
He confirmed that the doctors were briefing Sasikala on a daily basis on the treatment being given to Jayalalithaa during the 74 days she was in Apollo Hospitals.
He said the cost of Jayalalithaa’s treatment was around ₹ 5.5 cr.
