After Ola, Uber Drivers, NSDC to Train Delivery Boys
App-based cab aggregators Uber and Ola have tied up with National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) to train about half a million drivers in the next three years. National Skill Development Corporation, a public private partnership under the ministry of skill development & entrepreneurship, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Uber and Ola to train drivers, a ministry official said. “In addition to that, we are also in talks to train about 30,000 cargo delivery persons for an online market place,” the official told Mihir Mishra. Cab drivers will be trained on basic parameters and specifications suggested by the operators, including handling of mobile phones and speaking basic English, the official said.
