UpGrad to Up­skill 10,000 Pro­fes­sion­als

Ronnie Screw­vala-founded on­line ed­u­ca­tion startup UpGrad will up­skill 10,000 pro­fes­sion­als through 800 hours of free on­line learn­ing cour­ses. The ini­tia­tive, with an ear­marked spend of .₹ 25 crore, will be a part of the UpGrad ‘Learn­ing Week’ from Fe­bru­ary 13-19. The .₹ 25-crore spend will en­tail con­tent and cour­ses, the tech­nol­ogy plat­form, mar­ket­ing and se­lec­tive schol­ar­ships. “We aim to break stereo­types as­so­ci­ated with on­line ed­u­ca­tion, es­tab­lish e-learn­ing for work­ing pro­fes­sion­als, and take on­line learn­ing to the masses through in­ter­ac­tive and en­gag­ing ex­pe­ri­ences,” said Screw­vala. Peo­ple sign­ing up dur­ing the week will get free ac­cess to all the mod­ules across dig­i­tal mar­ket­ing, data an­a­lyt­ics, prod­uct man­age­ment and en­trepreneur­ship pro­grammes.
