BNP Paribas, Geo­jit Fi­nan­cial End their Part­ner­ship

Geo­jit Fi­nan­cial Ser­vices, a Ker­ala-based fi­nan­cial ser­vices firm, on Wed­nes­day an­nounced the end of its part­ner­ship with French bank BNP Paribas. Hence­forth, BNP will cease to be a pro­moter share­holder in the ven­ture. It will, how­ever, con­tinue to be a large share­holder along with Ker­ala State In­dus­trial De­vel­op­ment Cor­po­ra­tion (KSIDC) and Rakesh Jhun­jhun­wala. Cur­rently, BNP Paribas owns al­most 33.41% in the firm, while CJ Ge­orge, founder and man­ag­ing di­rec­tor, along with his fam­ily mem­bers own 20.78%. Ker­ala State In­dus­trial De­vel­op­ment Corp holds 8.51% stake. —
