Indian Men Must Grow Up

The Economic Times - - The Edit Page -

The Edit, ‘Customary Law Must Bend to Basic Rights’ (Feb 7), reveals well-established male chauvinism and parochial attitudes dominated by mob culture. It reminds us of the ‘Triple Talaq’ practice based on religious personal laws. Both the cases reveal that the men in the country are still not progressive enough. Religious bias, prejudices and bigotry among men are playing a crucial role against the interest of half the country’s population. Value-based education is important to achieve equality for women in the country.
