Three of 10 Most Val­ued Cos Add 40,438 cr to Mar­ket Cap

Three of the 10 most val­ued com­pa­nies added ₹ 40,438.6 crore to their com­bined mar­ket valu­a­tion last week, with TCS emerg­ing as the big­gest gainer. How­ever, seven oth­ers such as Re­liance In­dus­tries, HDFC Bank and ONGC suf­fered losses of to­tal ₹ 15,665.1 crore in the week to Fri­day. Among the gain­ers, the mar­ket cap­i­tal­i­sa­tion (mcap) of TCS soared the most by ₹ 32,108.12 crore to ₹ 4,72,252.46 crore. The valu­a­tion of In­fosys zoomed ₹ 7,602.89 crore to ₹ 2,22,355.73 crore and that of ITC by ₹ 727.57 crore to ₹ 3,31,103.56 crore on Fri­day. On the other hand, ONGC’s valu­a­tion plunged ₹ 9,689.09 crore to ₹ 2,48,194.77 crore.

In the rank­ing of top-10 firms, TCS led the chart fol­lowed by RIL, HDFC Bank, ITC, ONGC, In­fosys, SBI, HDFC, CIL and Maruti. — PTI
