Let Parliament Function

The Economic Times - - The Edit Page -

The Opposition in Parliament may reportedly keep away from debates on Budget 2017-18 following the PM’s remark on his predecessor last week. That would be unfortunate. It has become a tradition for legislators in India to find some alibi or the other to avoid inhouse debates. Legislators represent the people and should give priority to their work. It makes sense to have a strict code on parliamentary behaviour to discourage disruptions and encourage debates with objective criteria.
