Governor is No Kingmaker

The Economic Times - - The Edit Page -

Apropos the Edit, ‘Governor Should Not Influence CM Choice’ (Feb 13), the governor’s intentions from day one are suspect and inordinate delay seems to be deliberately done to engineer a split in the party. The governor should either invite the claimant to form government and set a deadline for winning the vote of confidence, or call for a special session to decide the fate of the government. The governor must not assume the role of kingmaker and must maintain the dignity and integrity of the office.
