Good Riddance of the Corrupt

The Economic Times - - The Edit Page -

Chinnamma Sasikala will spend the next four years of her life in jail. It came as a setback for her supporters, but it was a relief for honest taxpayers. Corrupt and powerful people can no longer hide from the law. The apex court has proved its worth by convicting Sasikala in the disproportionate assets case. Justice is finally delivered to the people of Tamil Nadu who got rid of a corrupt future chief minister. The restoration of trial court’s judgement clearly slams corrupt practices. Crucially, independence of judiciary is intact.
