Yamaha to Re­call YZF-R3 Bikes Here

New Yamaha will re­call 1,155 units of the YZF-R3 mo­tor­cy­cles in In­dia to rec­tify a de­fect re­lated to fuel tank bracket and main switch sub as­sem­bly, the two-wheeler com­pany said.

In­dia Yamaha Mo­tor said its Ja­panese par­ent Yamaha Mo­tor Co an­nounced the re­call af­ter de­tect­ing de­fects in the parts. “In In­dia, this will af­fect 1,155 ve­hi­cles,” it said in a state­ment.

Yamaha will re­place the de­fec­tive parts with mod­i­fied ones at its deal­er­ships. The re­place­ment ac­tiv­ity will be­gin im­me­di­ately.

Yamaha had re­called 902 units of the YZF-R3 in June 2016 to fix a de­fect re­lated to clutch pres­sure plate and oil pump assy.
