Musk Lauds Isro’s SpaceX
Bengaluru: Elon Musk, founder of SpaceX, is among those laudi ng t he I ndia n Space Research Organisation’s record-breaking feat of launching 104 satellites on a single rocket — PSLV-C37 — on Wednesday.
“Very impressive” is what the maverick technology entrepreneur wrote on microblogging site Twitter. His company SpaceX is trying to push the boundaries in space innovation by creating technologies to reduce space transportation cost, and has developed reusable launch vehicles Falcon 1 and Falcon 9. Isro, with this achievement, has broken a record previously held by the Russian Space Agency, which had launched37satellitesinonego.PSLV-C37 was on its 39th mission and took off at 9:28 am on Wednesday morning. India’s earth observation satellite was among the satellites that were launched. The other satellites were majorly from the USA(96)andoneeachfromSwitzerland, Israel, Kazakhstan, United Arab Emirates and Netherlands.
Musk had most recently tweeted that Tesla,hiscleanenergyautomaker,could be coming to India by this summer.
