250 Crorepatis, 110 With Crim­i­nal Cases In UP Third Phase Polls

A to­tal of 250 crorepati can­di­dates are in the fray for the third phase of the Ut­tar Pradesh assem­bly elec­tions to be held on Sun­day, while 110 con­tes­tants have crim­i­nal cases against their names, ac­cord­ing to a re­port by the As­so­ci­a­tion for Demo­cratic Re­forms, which an­a­lysed af­fi­davits filed by 813 of the to­tal 826 can­di­dates. Of these can­di­dates, 31% have de­clared as­sets worth more than

1 crore. The av­er­age as­set per can­di­date is 1.61 crore.
