250 Crorepatis, 110 With Criminal Cases In UP Third Phase Polls
A total of 250 crorepati candidates are in the fray for the third phase of the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections to be held on Sunday, while 110 contestants have criminal cases against their names, according to a report by the Association for Democratic Reforms, which analysed affidavits filed by 813 of the total 826 candidates. Of these candidates, 31% have declared assets worth more than
1 crore. The average asset per candidate is 1.61 crore.
