Rehabilitate the Hurt Youth

The Economic Times - - The Edit Page -

Apropos the Edit, ‘The Justice System Stands Indicted’ (Feb 20), it’s a traumatic experience for the entire family: financial difficulties, meeting the lawyer’s expenses, and the stigma of being an alleged terrorist’s close relative. Terror cases should be tried on a priority basis and justice delivered in the shortest time. If the acquittal takes more than two years, the government should provide not just monetary compensation but also rehabilitation. Leaving the young to recover on their own may take double the time they spent in hell.
